Longtime darts national Richard Campbell took the top prize in the inaugural Elite Marble & Granite Premier League Wednesday (21 November) with an 11-7 finals win over top seeded Alizon Agcon.
After a 5-5 draw with ‘Nozilla The Great’ in Week Three, Campbell entered the elimination rounds as the second seed with seven wins and three ties. Agcon was the top seed with eight wins and two ties.
“It’s an honour to have won the first ever Premier Darts League in Cayman,” said Campbell. “Unlike the other open tournaments that I have won over the past 10 years, this tournament was based off of the PDC’s own version, so I got to play against only the top players in the country. So to walk away as the winner makes me proud of myself.”
