Over the weekend Cayman Airways delivered a social media tease on one of its new additions to its fleet, the Boeing 737 Max 8.
Photos of the new plane, the first of its kind for regional airlines, was released on the Cayman Airways Facebook page showing off its fresh paint job from the Boeing’s paint shop.
A brief statement accompanied the photos stated; “Our new Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft is now all dressed up. Over the next few days, Cayman Airways flight and maintenance teams will be there conducting various checks, inspections and flight tests on the aircraft.”
Cayman Airways recently defended the Boeing 737 Max 8 after concerns were raised in light of the Lion Air crash in Indonesia late last month.
The national carrier has assured all necessary checks will be made before the aircraft purchased and brought to Cayman.
