CNB’s Ormond Williams sent home, no replacement named

No word yet on who will replace former Cayman National Bank President Ormond Williams.
Cayman National Corporation posted an announcement on the Cayman Stock Exchange website Thursday (15 November) indicating Mr. Williams’s removal from his post, one he has held for the last 15 years.

His removal comes on the heels of assurances that there will be no staffing changes at Cayman National Corporation or its subsidiaries as Republic Bank Trinidad Ltd. moves to buy majority shares at CNC.
We reached out to CNC and Republic Bank representatives for comment. We are yet to hear back.

The CNC statement reads:

Cayman National Corporation Ltd. (csx:cnc) ky announces that its subsidiary, Cayman National Bank ltd., and Mr. Ormond Williams have parted company and mr. Williams is no longer president of CNB, effective November 14, 2018.
Mr. Williams joined Cayman National in 2002 and was appointed as the president of CNB in 2003.
Stuart Dack, Chairman of CNB, said, “during his time with Cayman National, Ormond has been the leader of CNB and accomplished much during his tenure. We wish him well on the next part
Of his journey.”
