Governor Roper weighs in on cruise berthing project

H.E. Governor Martyn Roper was also pressed on Thursday (1 November) on one of the biggest debates of the moment: the proposed cruise berthing facility.

The new Governor said he was engaging with the government on the issue, but would not be drawn further.

“It’s a primarily a matter for the government. I have full trust in people like the Auditor General,” Mr. Roper said.

“At the moment, all I will say is I’m talking to people in the government about that. But on day four I can’t really add any more on that at the moment,” he explained.
