Men’s Voice documentary in the works at John Gray High School

The Family Resource Centre is partnering with the John Gray High School Boys To Men to programme to make a short documentary film in honor of Men’s International Day. The film will focus on what young boys think qualities a man should possess, Family Resource Centre program facilitator Anna-Marie Diaz said acknowledging men is very important.

“It’s very important that we address our boys and our men’s issues. We’ve been making great strides in terms of gender equalities and women’s issues which is incredibly important for our society but an unfortunate side effect has been that our boys and our men have been ignored and there are suffering and our prisons are overflowing. There are young people not accessing mental health services,” said Ms. Diaz.

The documentary Men’s Voice will premiere on 19 November at Camana Bay cinema.
