North Side heritage day

North Side was the center of attention Tuesday (6 November) as many converged on the community to get a taste of Cayman’s culture.

North Side held its heritage day festivities and visitors were treated by many of Cayman’s iconic dishes like conch stew and turtle stew just to name a few, also traditional thatch plaiting and much more were also showcased at the event.

“This is our normal North Side pirates week heritage day so we have lots of Cayman food, we have things represented like willies farm with all of their good natural stuff we have a little heritage display here and all the school kids have been out,” said Opposition Leader Hon. Ezzard Miller.

The district heritage days are part of the annual Pirates Week festivities and on Wednesday (7 November) the spotlight will be on Bodden Town at the Mission House.
