The National Roads Authority Board of Directors on Thursday (1 November) announced the firing of Managing Director Paul Parchment.
The announcement comes several months after the board launched an investigation into possible misuse of NRA resources by a senior employee. It took effect on 31 October.
Edward Howard has been performing the duties and responsibilities of the Managing Director in the absence of the Managing Director by operation of the National Roads Authority Law, according to a press release from the N.R.A. board.
Mr. Howard has been appointed Acting Managing Director with effect from 1 November, according to the NRA board release. He will continue to perform the duties and responsibilities of the Managing Director until a substantive appointment of a Managing Director is made, the release reads.
