Premier: Gov’t’s mandatory ads portal is coming

Soon all employers will be mandated to post job vacancies on a government clearinghouse portal.
On Monday (19 November) afternoon Premier Hon. Alden McLaughlin said work on the portal is continuing as he piloted the proposed Immigration (Transition) Bill 2018.

Premier McLaughlin said more immigration changes are coming and it will include the portal requirement for work permits.
“If employers wish to continue to advertise their jobs in any local media that is a matter for them, there is no restriction on that. But there will be an absolute requirement for them to post the position on the new government portal,” said Premier McLaughlin.
He said further legislative changes to create the online platform will be heading to the LA in the first quarter of next year.
