Students unharmed in school bus collision

The owner of a school bus involved in a collision at the Camana Bay roundabout hits out at poor driving.

On Tuesday (20 November) just after 4 p.m. a Clifton Hunter School bus carrying six students collided with silver Chevrolet Cruz.

The students escaped injury. The RCIPS said the driver of the Chevrolet was taken to the Cayman Islands hospital with neck injuries and was later released. Bus owner Natalie Wood issued a statement to Cayman 27 following the incident.

“Road safety has been a huge issue for many years and we are pleading to the public to strongly exercise caution when school buses are present on the road. Our children are precious and we would like to emphasize the plea for their safety on our roads,” said Ms. Wood.
