Heart Warriors beach walk a success

Hundreds came out on Sunday (10 February) at Public Beach to show their support for the Heart Warriors and Angels beach walk.
It is an event held in honour of babies Nolan Evans and Cristiano McKenzie.

They both died from complications associated with congenital heart defects.
The parents of both babies came together to host the event and they led the walk.

On Sunday participants walked with photos of the children, as well as, toys.
Baby Nolan’s parents said plans are now underway for their next event, the kidsfest family fun day.
“We will have a wonderful event, a family fun event where kids can come with their parents and they will enjoy many amenities and complimentary things. It is a family fun day to raise awareness about congenital heart defects and help other people while having fun,” said Ailian Evans, baby Nolan’s mother.

All proceeds from Sunday’s beach walk will be donated to hart for hearts the pediatric arm of the Cayman Heart Fund.
The Evans said their kidsfest event will be held on 22 June at Pedro St. James.
