Bush wants new vehicle licensing facility

Opposition Leader Hon. McKeeva Bush is asking the governor a series of questions concerning a new vehicle licensing facility due to open in the Breakers area.

In the letter to the H.E. Helen Kilpatrick, Mr. Bush says, “I am concerned about the process, or lack thereof, in regards to the new vehicle facility in Breakers.”

Key questions he wants answered:
– Who owns the land?
– Who did the construction?
– Does government own the facility?
– What tendering process was used by government in agreeing to a licensing facility on the property?

The $1.4 million facility was built by Tony Powell who is believed to be renting it to the government.
We have asked the governor for a response on the matter.
