Top-seeded Novak Djokovic needed four sets to get past third-seeded Roger Federer and earn a finals berth at the 2016 Australian Open.
Djokovic started fast as Federer only won three games over the first two sets. Federer came back to win the third game before Djokovic clinched the match in the fourth.
“Throughout my career I’ve had some moments against him and sets where I’ve played at a high level but I think this was a different level than from before,” he said.
He’ll play either Milos Raonic or Andy Murray in the men’s singles final.
In the women’s singles final, top-seeded American Serena Williams will play German Angelique Kerber.
