Nothing inappropriate, nothing dishonest and nothing underhand.
That was the defiant message from the former Chair of the Health Services Authority who spends his third day in the witness box.
Asked by his barrister Trevor Burke QC if he acted inappropriately, dishonestly or in anyway underhand, he replied: “No, I did not.”
Asked if he made any personal gain during his time at the HSA, he replied: “No, I did not.”
And when asked if he made any financial gain, or profited personally from any deal… Once again he said” “No, I did not.”
Mr. Watson is expected to finish his evidence in chief early next week, and will then be cross examined by crown counsel, Patrick Moran.
