Hillary Clinton hones in on Cayman

The two top Democratic party candidates in the US presidential election have now cited the Cayman Islands as a target for their tax reform policies.

Hillary Clinton gave a telephone interview to the m-s-n-b-c cable channel on Monday night, and said, “We’re now in a position where we can go after some of these schemes that mis-classify income, trying to make it look like it’s a capital gain when it’s really ordinary income and routing that income through the Bahamas or the Cayman Islands or wherever.”

Another Democratic candidate, Bernie Sanders, has also attacked Cayman Islands investments as part of his campaign.
