Eight young ladies will vie for the crown and title of Miss Cayman Islands 2016.
One of those young ladies is 24 year old Monyque Brooks.
A love for Caymanian arts, culture and heritage has heavily influenced Monyque’s life. She is set on leaving her footprint in the local arts industry through participation in major programmes and festivals. She is involved in the National Cultural Foundation’s events, and is a part of the Cayman Islands Dance Company, to name a few. Monyque has a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, and currently puts that to great use working at the Department of Tourism.
For her, becoming the next Miss Cayman is not only a lifelong dream but also a mission to inspire and affect change. Monyque vows to stay dedicated to her cause, continuously demonstrating her zeal and commitment to ‘Caymankind’.
