The mother of Jeremiah Barnes reacts after a man is cleared of murdering her son.
Devon Anglin was found not guilty of shooting dead the four year old after a judge alone trial.
But the child’s mother said no matter the verdict, it would never bring her baby back.
Well there’ll never really be any closure because the trial a guilty verdict, a not guilty verdict is not going to bring Jeremiah back. So there’ll never be any closure,” said Dorlisa Ebanks-Barnes.
“There’ll always be a void in our lives, there’ll always be a void in our heart. I will cry every day for the rest of my life for him. And it will just be until we meet again. God has a bigger plan.”
Last week police said while they are not looking for additional evidence, they will investigate if new evidence arises.
