Cayman’s Fight Factory churned out its first ever Fight Night, and by all accounts it was a successful event.
The night featured six bouts of armature fighters who put it all on the line, some for the title while others in the name of a worthy cause.
Kial Whorms defeated Anthony Fernandes and managed to win over all the judges. While Ioana Popescue and Celine Bisiaux made history in Cayman by fighting on the first ever female kickboxing bout. In the end the Bisiaux won by split decision. Errel Villanueva beat Logan Chinoy by way of Technical Knockout. Another unanimous decision saw Ben Ebanks lose to TJ Hucker. Flloyd Moxam and Tim Coulson was another pair of heavy hitter that took to the ring, but it would be Moxam that would walk away with the win. But it wasn’t all about the competition, and Jesse Livingston took on Rohann Exctain to help raise money for the humane society. Although there was no official winner for this fight it’s fair to say all three parties won, Vinvingston, Exctain and the animals.
Not only is Moxam a fighter, he is also an organizer of the event and says he is grateful to see how far they have come.
“It feels amazing, Fight Factory started in the living room of my house, and it’s been a slow steady progress but it’s been great,” said Moxam.
The next event is set for some time in May. Details on the event will be made public when they become available.
