Fosters Food Fair celebrated its 35th anniversary in December of last year. The celebration continues with a year of giving. Julian Foster, of Fosters Food Fair says that caring is “who we are, it’s ingrained in our culture. We do care. We care about our customers, we care about our team, we care about our products. We really care about this community.”
To live up to its slogan “We Care” throughout 2016 Foster’s will be supporting 11 charities. Each month the grocery stories will help to share the story of the charity and take donations at the register. So far Literacy is For Everyone, and the Humane Society has been supported. For the month of March, Fosters will lend its support to the Cayman Heart Fund.
Customers will also feel the spirit of giving. Each month Fosters will have a special promotion that will reward customers. For February Foster’s held its Grocery Giveaway, in which customers had the opportunity to win a $200 gift card, and get a another $200 gift card to give to someone else. For March Foster’s will roll out it’s Grocery Games. Customers will get to race to search for specific items. The faster person will get a gift card and money will be donated to a charity.
In addition to the monthly promotions Fosters is offering free bus ride. Every Friday, until the end of April, anyone who get on a Fosters branded bus will get a free ride, with wifi courtesy of FLOW.
Fosters is also encouraging the public to share their personal Fosters story, by making a post to the website www.wecare.ky.
