Professional, brazen and a week after a diamond heist, still at large.
Seven days ago, two men threatened staff at a Camana Bay jewelry store before escaping with more than a $250,000 worth of gems.
Police say while there’s a good chance the men have already left island, they’ve not given up hope of catching them and this investigation has become an international man-hunt.
The are very keen for information about the get-away vehicle.
“It’s a dirt bike. It’s white. Two people on the bike. Probably no plates. No helmets, just the baseball caps,” said Detective Superintendent Mike Cranswick.
“Somebody will have seen that bike. I’ve got no doubt, between Fidelity and where it didn’t come out of cost u less. I really need people to contact us regarding sightings of that bike.”
There have been reported sighting of the men the day before the robbery in and around George Town, and images of the pair have been given to Interpol to circulate internationally.
Anyone with information that could help the police… Or if you saw the dirt bike with two men on board last Wednesday (24 February) night, call detectives on 949-4222.
