Pay row disrupts Windies ahead of ICC T20 World Cup

The West Indies Cricket Board and the players are embroiled in a pay dispute just weeks before the start of the International Cricket Council World Twenty20 tournament.

The 15-man squad has rejected contracts offered to them by the WICB.

Captain Darren Sammy has written a letter to the Board, saying the pay reduction compared to previous tournaments in unacceptable.

The WICB has responded that Sammy’s figures are off and they appear unwilling to negotiate pay.
