Seven months ago, the life of a George Town family was turned upside down. Sitting at home on a Friday night, the Buttrums could never have predicted what was about to happen. Fire ripped through their Windsor park home, razing it to the ground. Now, thanks to elbow grease, hard work and plenty of community support, the Buttrums are close to rebuilding their home and their lives.
With the family home gone, Alwin Buttrum, his brothers and good friends made a firm decision to rebuild the home using their construction skills.
“It basically costs me less to do it myself than to hire a company , yeah, so, once you do something for yourself you more love it than, to have someone else do it and you basically get what you want,” said Mr. Buttrum.
“This is being done from scratch, these guys have been working hard , these brothers and this family has been working hands on on this project around the clock,” said Mr. Leslie.
