With no company or organization taking credit for organizing the street vendors, this leaves confusion and discomfort with many business owners. Luigi Moxam from breezes understands and encourages that people just want to make an honest living by catering to tourists, but when he is loosing business because of it, then it becomes a problem.
“I roll up here in the morning and the place is shutdown , the street is shut down, the busses cannot come onto cardinal avenue which is convenient for the tourists to get off here and go around cardinal avenue. Effecting not just my business but all the other vendors around here, no traffic coming around here. We’re a restaurant, we’re the only restaurant on cardinal avenue and I have four now six food vendors, not even at the end or throughout cardinal avenue, they are all right infront of the one restaurant and ofcourse it is effecting our business.” said
With multiple parties wanting a piece of cardinal avenue, Cardinals residents suggest finding other suitable locations, such as the gazebo underneath the port terminal.
