CARIFTA swimmers up to 6 medals with more likely on the way

Cayman Islands swimmers have earned six medals heading into tonight’s (24 March) finals session at the 2016 CARIFTA Swimming Championships, in Martinique.

Cayman now has three gold, one silver and two bronze medals through the first two days of competition and finished day two ranked ninth out of 18 teams.

On Thursday (23 March) won two medals — Lauren Hew picked up gold in the 100-metres backstroke and Sabine Ellison won gold in the 400 IM.

Looking forward to the day three finals sessions, Cayman has 13 swimmers competing and looking to pick up even more medals.
