Chaloner: Junior squash tourney good for the sport

The Cayman Islands National Junior Squash Championships open 18 March and run through 19 March.

Cayman Islands coach Mark Chaloner appeared on the 16 March episode of Let’s Talk Sports and said these types of tournaments are vital for the sport.

“If you don’t have a shop window, you don’t have mentors for the younger kids to aspire to,” he said. “So it’s really important to make sure that you can show what’s available, what’s out there, the potential.”

Here is the schedule for 19 March:

Sat:
11:30 a.m. Boys U13 Final
Noon Girls Under 19 Final
12:30 p.m. Boys under 17 Final
1:00 p.m. Girls Under 17 Final
1:00 p.m. Boys Under 15 Final
1:30 p.m. Girls Under 15 Final
