Easter beach time

A time of peace, Easter eggs, food and of course some well-needed rest; the Caymanian Easter encompasses the unique luxury of living on the beach, as you would in a house. Local folks from all over shipped out and settled in at campsites and beaches all over island; setting up make shift kitchens, hammocks and tents all in preparation for the ultimate Caymanian Easter. From Smith Cove all the way to Governor’s Beach, families and friends were building campfires and soaking up some sun.

“I’ve been doing this for the last 9 years, with a family who has been a pioneering family, doing this for the last fifty years, the Watsons and the Ramoons. So I’ve been there guest every year and every year we come here; it’s tent city and we really enjoy the water, the local tradition and we just have a good family time.” Feliciano said.

This Easter holiday is one that calls for family and a time to catch up on rest, however the police are reminding the public that safety is also a priority when camping at at sites.
