Health City reports recycling success

Health City Cayman Islands has released a report on conservation efforts it says were accomplished in 2015. The East End facility claims 60 percent of its total waste did not go to landfill due to conservation, reuse and other recycling efforts, including the recycling of 13,259 pounds of material.

HCCI reports water conservation, reuse and harvesting saved 3,644,299 gallons of water, and diverted 2.7 million gallons of sewage effluent from being diverted to ground disposal.
