Hyman calls for CIAA improvement

Cayman Islands sprint-double record holder Kemar Hyman calls for improvement at the Cayman Islands Athletics Association.

Hyman made the comments days after he competed at the IAAF World Indoor Championships, a meet he nearly missed after the CIAA sent in late entry registrations for Hyman and countryman Ronald Forbes. Forbes was forced to miss the meet due to the gaffe.

“With the CIAA, they definitely need to fix things and get things going,” Hyman told Cayman 27. “I don’t think it was ever a point where they were always on point.

“So I think they have a lot to do. Or maybe they need to the Association to go over to the (Cayman Islands Olympic Committee), I don’t know.

“They definitely need to get their act together and start doing things properly.”

Dr. Dalton Watler resigned as CIAA President following the error.
