Mexican sides Santos Laguna and Queretaro on Tuesday (1 March) clinched their spots in the 2016 CONCACAF Champions League semifinals.
After a scoreless draw in the first leg, Santos Laguna topped the LA Galaxy 4-0 in the return leg to earn a fourth trip to the playoff’s semis. Martin Bravo scored a pair of goals in that one.
In the day’s other match, DC United needed to score three more goals than Queretarto to advance, but that didn’t happen as the team’s played to a 1-1 draw. It marks the first time Queretaro has gone through to the Champions League semis.
