Women’s Month marked by church service

Civic and political leaders gathered for a church service on Saturday (5 March) to mark International Women’s Month.

It was the first time in the 18 year history of the service that it was held at King’s Seventh Day Adventist Church. Premier Hon. Alden McLaughlin remarked that Cayman’s many blessings were evidence of answered prayers, and he referred to his own mother as a “prayer warrior.”

The theme, “Step It Up for Gender Equality,” will be evident in a series of events throughout the month.
