Cuban migrants sent home

12 Cuban migrants were sent back home on Friday, April 15. The group was made up of seven men and five women, all of whom were housed at the Immigration Detention Centre.

The previous batch of migrants were repatriated back on March 24. That group consisted of 11 migrants, all of whom were men.

Currently 54 migrants are still in custody awaiting repatriation. Earlier this year Cayman saw its largest number of Cuban migrants in recent history, at one point there was more than 130 Cuban refugees on our shores.
