Literacy overflow

In the words of roman philosopher Marcus Cicero, “A room without books is like a body without a soul.” In that case, Cayman’s Book Loft definitely has soul.

The bookstore receives so many books as donations, there is an overflow.

That’s why they organise bulk sales, like Saturday’s outside A.L. Thompson’s home depot, every two months.

“We physically cannot keep the books that we are given, by the way of donations. In the book loft itself, we just don’t have the storage room or the display room. So we box them up and periodically we have these sales,” said Kathy Roberts, a volunteer at the Humane Society.

All proceeds from this book sale benefit the Humane Society. The next book sale will be in June. If you want to make a book contribution, drop it in the donation box outside of the Humane Society.
