In the words of american president Lyndon B. Johnson, “Peace is a journey of a thousand miles and it must be taken one step at a time.” Steps were made at the family life center, guided by words of wisdom from a professional peace maker.
Chip Zimmer from Relation Wisdom 360 came to the Cayman Islands from Montana to share relationship building skills from the Christian background but the messages apply to people of all religions.
Mr. Zimmer focuses on awareness, because it is what we see and understand, and engagement, because it is what we do and say.
“I hope that people feel empowered, to be able to live more wisely relation-ally, that they have some tools, to be able to be more effective, living out their relationships, also feel like they have permission, want them to feel like they have permission to experience their emotions and not be afraid of the emotions, but learn how to use them, and not let negative emotions in particular drive our behavior and causes us to say and do things that we later regret,” said Chip Zimmer, relationship expert.
The seminar is divided into three topics, where audience members learn to be aware and engage with God, the self and others.
