UCCI and West Chester University in Pennsylvania have announced a new learning partnership.
University president Roy Bodden told Cayman 27 the partnership with West Chester is unique in that UCCI students in Grand Cayman and on Cayman Brac can attend classes virtually in real-time, from classrooms here in the islands.
He said relationships like these help the school expand its course offerings to students.
“The advantage to UCCI is: we’re a small university college so we can’t offer the full repertoire of courses, the common reason being we don’t have the cohorts, the numbers of students, to make it viable,” said Mr. Bodden.
The partnership will also work both ways. West Chester students will have the opportunity to tune in to classes here in subjects not available on their campus, like marine biology.
And of course, students will have the opportunity to study abroad in Pennsylvania if they wish.
