CAL Youth Football Cup kicks off with plenty of goals

The Seattle Sounders and Orlando City were the early winners 10 May as the 2016 Cayman Airways Youth Football Cup kicked off at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex.

In the tournament’s first matchup, Florida’s IMG Academy took a 2-0 lead on a pair of goals from Indiana Vassilev but the Sounders stormed back to score nine-unanswered goals in a 9-2 win. Click the above video for highlights.

Sounders forward Azreal Gonzales scored twice in the first half while Camilo Santiago netted three goals prior to the break.

In the second game, Orlando City topped Cuba’s National team, 4-0.

There are three other matches on the schedule for day one.
