Academy Sports Club and the West Bay Sports Foundation are set to join forces for the upcoming Cayman Airways Youth Football Cup.

The under-15 tournament kicks off 10-15 May.

The local team in the competition pools together members of Academy’s regular youth teams with others selected by the West Bay Sports Foundation, according to a press release from tournament organisers.

Academy and youth teams from several top clubs around Europe, North America, Central America and the Caribbean have confirmed participation in the event. That includes recently crowned under-15 champions from England, Manchester City.

Also as part of the build-up to the tournament, organisers announced their throwing their weight behind an anti-bullying campaign. It’s open to all primary school students who can use social media to raise awareness and possibly win cash for their school’s Parent-Teacher Association.
