Local artist Matthew Ebanks is celebrating a milestone of fifteen years of contributions to art and craft here in the Cayman Islands.
The twenty-four year old artist has prepared paintings for those of pervasive influences on island including the Governor, Premiere and Deputy Governor as well as a host of other MLA’s all of whom have commended Mr. Ebanks for his skill and dedication.
Mr. Ebanks said he has never given much thoughts to negative perceptions people may have of his autism diagnosis and said he and his twin brother have always stayed focused on their dreams. “I don’t really care when anybody tells me something negative behind my back about that but you just got to show what’s best for you in the future and you can see how many people we did arts for as well but we don’t give up on our dreams and dreams are real you know,” Mr. Ebanks said.
Mr. Ebanks has prepared artwork to commemorate his fifteen years of artwork on island and is gearing up for the Island living show next month where he and his twin brother have been entered for well over a decade now.
