Ministry of Culture’s new survey

What are the elements that best capture the culture of the Cayman Islands? The ministry of Culture & Heritage steering committee wants your ideas.

Convened in late 2015, after the ministry of culture was tasked by Cabinet to create the policy, the culture committee has its first project in the works, starting with a just-released survey online. It asks the public what they think of Cayman, and what aspects of its culture and heritage they think are important.

“It’s the first ever cultural and heritage policy that is being done and we want to make sure that the public have an opportunity to be apart of the policy process, so by having a survey, it gives everyone the chance to get involved, to give us their feedback and their input regarding what they think some of the priorities are in terms of culture and heritage and how we can weave them into the policy so that it’s responsive to everybody’s thoughts and views and needs,” said Jennifer Ahearn, Chief Officer for the Ministry of Health & Culture.
