Missing Cuban arrested in East End

A Cuban national, missing for almost a week, is behind bars arrested on suspicion of illegal landing.

Hector Cruz who lives in West Bay told relatives he was going fishing Sunday (15 May) morning, but vanished.

Police were unable to confirm if he did actually set sail.

Late Thursday (19 May), Cruz was one of four men arrested at Gun Bay Dock. The Joint Marine Unit and police helicopter tracked a boat off the coast of East End.

Three men, two Cubans and a West Bayer, are being questioned over people smuggling.
Mr. Cruz, on suspicion of illegal landing. All four men are currently in custody.
