There are still no answer about who is in charge of Cayman Islands track and field.

Cayman Islands Athletics Association Executive Committee members met two weeks ago to decide whether to accept the resignation of Dr. Dalton Watler.

After several e-mails to CIAA members, the question whether a new president has been appointed and, if so, whom it may be remains unanswered.

Instead, a CIAA spokesperson issued a statement that reads in part:

“At this moment all of our energies are focused on the Cayman Invitational. The CIAA is 100 percent behind this important venture.”

It goes on to read an appropriate release will be sent out in due course.

Watler said in March he planned to resign after the CIAA failed to register hurdler Ronald Forbes for this year’s World Indoor Championships.
