Preserving the family unit

Those at the Family Resource Centre (FRC) believe every weekend should be used to spend time with your families, but on Sunday (May 15) there will be an extra special meaning. It is the International Day of Families.

The day provides an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families, but here in Cayman a day just doesn’t seem enough. So a whole week of family activities has been planned.

FRC Programmes Coordinator Miriam Foster said, “We really hope that families take advantage and they take part. They can do it from their home and it doesn’t have to be even your nuclear family, it could be your work family too. It can be you and your partner, it’s just about taking sometime to really focus on what’s important and being there for one another.”
