Cayman Athletic coach Ernie Seymour says he has some ideas of whom he would like to see as the new Cayman Islands Football Association President.

Despite several requests, CIFA has not released a list of candidates running for the spot at the CIFA Extraordinary Congress to be held 28 May.

Even so, Seymour offered his takes on the 25 May episode of Let’s Talk Sports.

“Lee Ramoon and Alfredo Whittaker are supposed to be two of the candidates,” Seymour said. “Looking at those two guys, they’ve been involved in the National programme for quite a while. But Lee more than Alfredo is a son of the soil we would say. He did well in Cayman football. He was one of our athletes that went overseas and got a soccer scholarship. Lee would be one of the guys that could help to lead our football.”

Elections will be held for President and Deputy General Secretary.

Whomever is voted in as President will be the first permanent holder of that position since Jeff Webb was arrested last year.
