Defending National Basketball Association champion Golden State pulled off an improbable series comeback Monday (30 May) to beat Oklahoma City 96-88 in game seven of the Western Conference finals.

The Warriors trailed the series 3-1 but came back to win the final three. They become just the 10th team in NBA playoff history to rally from a 3-1 deficit.

In game seven, two-time reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Steph Curry poured in a game-high 36 points and the Warriors used a 29-12 third-quarter run to pull away.

The Warriors will meet the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals, which begin Thursday (2 June).
