“Blood Connects us all,” that was the theme of this year’s world blood donor day. On Saturday (June 18), 18 new donors signed up.
Those at the Cayman Islands Blood Donor Registry say while they are glad for the new members there is still a need for more people chip in.
James Myles from the registry said, “We have donors that we are about to retire they have been donating more than half their lives and these are gentlemen well into their 70’s and they are still willing to donate. Those who are coming up and can easily give and are full of youth, vigor and vitality, this is the time to start thinking about giving back.
