Philippe Coutinho scored three times and Renato Augusto had a pair of goals as Brazil cruised to a 7-1 win Wednesday (8 June) in group play of the Copa America Centenario tournament.

The loss eliminates Haiti from the competition.

Lucas Lima and Gabriel added scores for the South Americans in the lopsided victory.

In the day’s other match, Ecuador clawed back from a 2-0 first-half deficit to earn a 2-2 draw with Peru.

Christian Cueva and Edison Flores both struck to stake Peru to a 2-0 lead 13 minutes into the game.

Enner Valencia scored just before the half to cut that lead in half, however, and Miller Bolanos equalised in the 48th.

Jamaica’s National team is back in action 9 June as the Reggae Boyz face Mexico in their second match of the tournament.
