Here’s a real “Come back” story, about a hometown hero who comes back to the rock, after years away making music.

After making a big name for himself in the Jamaican music scene, Cayman’s own Stuart Wilson has come back home to continue his career as a professional musician.
He has a new band, mostly made up of adults, but including a young drummer who can keep up with their beat.

“He’s a superb drummer, he’s only 18 years old, he grew up in the church where most good musicians do grow up in incidentally and we’re just over the moon to have him. We want to encourage more youngsters to take music seriously, this is something that you can really have a career in,” said Stuart Wilson.

“Brand new to me cause first time playing reggae this live, it’s a great experience,” said Drummer Jonathan Wilson.

The “Stuart Wilson Band’s” next performance is on Saturday at the Cayman Spirits Company.
