A chiropractic doctor has been arrested under suspicion of taking photographs of female patients without their knowledge.
Although police would not confirm the name of the man they questioned, Cayman 27 understands it to be Dr. Jamal Khan, a Canadian national who works in George Town.
The 47-year-old was arrested Tuesday (7 June) on suspicion of causing alarm, harassment or distress to a patient.
He was arrested after a woman complained the doctor had taken an unauthorised photograph of her during treatment.
Police then discovered more pictures of another woman, that also appears to have been taken without consent.
The doctor has since been released on police bail pending further inquires.
The Council of Professions Allied with Medicine, which regulates the chiropractic profession in the Cayman Islands, has been notified of the case.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have information relevant to the investigation, to contact detective constable Emma Twydall on 936-1161.
