One Cayman Islands referee heads to Grenada next month after being selected to work at the Caribbean Basketball Confederation Under-16 Championships.
Gregory Hamilton was picked by the CBC to officiate. He says it’s always beneficial to be picked for international work.
“It’s a terrific honour for me,” Hamilton said. “First and foremost for myself and representing the Cayman Islands. This is my fifth or sixth international tournament. I’ve worked CentroBasket and senior CBC men and women before. As I said before, it’s a great honour and I hope to represent the Cayman Islands as best as possible.”
Cayman boasts three referees certified by FIBA to officiate international games.
