We’ve all seen signs throughout the neighbourhood for garage sales, but not a trunk sale.

The Cayman Islands Cancer Society turned a standard George Town parking lot into a flea market, giving any shopper a chance to grab a bargain. All to raise funds and awareness for walk for a cure.
It’s an event that is celebrated in seventeen different countries across the globe.
“Even though I’m really healthy right now,  I feel bad for the people who are in the hospital and they just need a lot of help and they can’t get any and that’s really sad,” said Volunteer, Gianna Mclaughlin.

“And we’re now in our fifth year of fundraising and all the proceeds raised for our walk for the cure benefit each cancer society in their local territories,” said Shadden McLaughlin, Walk Manager.

Walk for the cure will take place on sunday the second of October.
