A lawyer is found guilty of grievous bodily harm, after he mowed down two pensioners in his $50,000 super car.
A jury took a little over two hours to convict attorney Simon Courtney. He showed no emotion as the foreman delivered the guilty verdicts.
As well as two counts of GBH, he was also convicted of reckless driving. But the jury did find him not guilty of dangerous driving.
The crash happened after Courtney and his wife had been at a champagne brunch at the Ritz Carlton.
His defence team argued the 50 year old wasn’t responsible for the crash, and the car lost control because of the water on the road at the time. He will be sentenced next month.
