Police have embarked on a road show of sorts to make sure they meet and greet most, if not all, the people they protect and serve.
From east to west, officers are out and about to meet the public face-to-face and collect ideas on making the island safer. The idea is to build a stronger relationship between communities and the R.C.I.P.S.
“You have a chance to voice your concern, have a one on one talk with the beat officer, have a one on one talk with the police, and give us the information. Let us know what is happening in your community cause you find a lot of times persons criticize the police, police don’t do anything and they don’t get the opportunity to talk to the police, here is the perfect opportunity, come out, share the concern, tell us what’s happening, give us your idea of solutions to the problem and we can work and have a better country,” said Cornelius Pompey, Acting Police Sergeant of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service.
The cops are setting up shop at a variety of locations, including Kirk market tomorrow from eleven until two.
